GNU Emacs の CVS 版 (2003-06-10 のもの) を Mac OS X 10.2.6 上にて、
--with-carbon --without-x という configure で make すると
tramp が動かないという問題に悩まされていたのだが、

にて解決方法を発見。
(setq process-connection-type t)
とすればいいようだ。
